2021 Goals for the Amazon Rainforest

2021 New Year's Resolutions As we approach the end of 2020, many of us may make the decision to commit to a New Year's resolution or two. This creates the perfect opportunity to choose a resolution that can help protect the Amazon Rainforest. Consider making one of the following as your New Year's resolution to do your part in saving the rainforest! 1. Eat Less Meat One of the things that drives the frequency of deforestation in the rainforest up is cattle ranching. Trees are continuously being removed in order to move cattle in, providing beef for many fast food chains. Choosing to eat less meat, especially beef, in 2021 can help save more of the rainforest from being destroyed as there will be that much less of a demand for meat. 2. Reduce Paper Use Another reason deforestation continues in the rainforest is to produce paper products.
